Throughout the last few years, many thousands of Adelaide’s children have been thrilled by our critically acclaimed productions, including The Little Mermaid Jr, Frozen Jr, Doctor Dolittle Jr, Annie Jr, SpongeBob the Musical: Youth Edition, and Moana Jr.

Based on the award-winning Broadway production and beloved animated film, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR. is a 60 minute musical celebrating transformation, kindness, and seeing beyond appearances, featuring unforgettable songs by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, with additional music by Tim Rice.

The story follows Belle, a bright and adventurous young woman, and the Beast, a young prince trapped under an enchantress’ spell. With the help of the castle’s enchanted staff, the pair discover friendship and love before time runs out. Featuring much-loved songs such as “Be Our Guest” and “Belle,” Beauty and the Beast JR. is a magical and heartwarming theatrical experience for audiences of all ages.

Relaxed Performance – Friday 17 July, 1:00pm

Our Relaxed Performance of Beauty and the Beast JR. has been specially adapted to create a more welcoming and accessible theatre experience for audience members who may benefit from a less formal environment. House lights will remain partially on, sound and lighting effects will be softened where possible, and audience members are free to move around, make noise, leave and re-enter the auditorium as needed. We welcome patrons with disability, sensory sensitivities, autism, anxiety, dementia, young children, or anyone who may find a traditional theatre setting challenging. Our aim is to create a supportive, inclusive space where everyone can enjoy the magic of live theatre in a way that feels comfortable for them. ✨
