Based on the beloved works of Dr. Seuss, Seussical is a magical, high-energy musical adventure that brings together some of the most iconic characters ever created. Audiences will journey through a colourful world filled with imagination, friendship, courage, and heart as Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Jojo, Gertrude McFuzz, Mayzie La Bird, and the Whos discover that even the smallest voice can make a difference.

We are seeking passionate young performers aged 10–21 years at the time of auditions to join this spectacular production. Whether you are an experienced performer or looking to take part in your first major musical, Seussical offers opportunities for performers of all experience levels. With memorable songs, energetic choreography, vibrant characters, and a large ensemble, there truly is a place for everyone in the world of Seuss.

Our Adelaide Fringe productions are designed to challenge, inspire, and support young artists as they develop their skills in a professional and encouraging environment. Cast members will work alongside a dedicated creative team, make lasting friendships, build confidence, and gain invaluable performance experience while bringing this beloved story to life on stage.

Featuring music by Stephen Flaherty and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, Seussical combines humour, adventure, and heartfelt storytelling into a theatrical experience that has delighted audiences around the world. From the whimsical Jungle of Nool to the tiny world of Whoville, performers will be immersed in a production bursting with creativity, imagination, and fun.

We encourage performers who love singing, acting, dancing, or storytelling to audition and become part of this unforgettable journey. We are looking for enthusiastic cast members who are ready to collaborate, learn, and help create a magical experience for Adelaide Fringe audiences.

Whether you dream of taking centre stage as one of Seuss’s iconic characters or being part of the energetic ensemble that brings this extraordinary world to life, we would love to see you at auditions.

After all, in the world of Seuss, anything is possible.

A person’s a person, no matter how small—and every performer has a place in Seussical the Musical.

Why do youth theatre companies charge a fee to be involved in large scale stage productions?

The fees enable producers to cover the costs of directors, choreographers, professional theatre hire, technical requirements and staffing, costumes, sets and much more. Ticket sales and/or presenter fees alone would not cover the expenses which are necessary to provide the outstanding production experience which comes with performing in a major venue such as the Norwood Concert Hall.
