Darcie Yelland’s introduction to the world of performing was a mandatory play in first grade when she lived in Kentucky, but it was during a music theatre camp in Shanghai, China, that she realised she’d found her passion. She caught the theatre bug and has been a regular on the stage ever since. Most recently, she was Jane Doe in the South Australian premiere of ‘Ride the Cyclone’ with Opportunity Theatre in April of 2026. Other highlights in her adult career include: Martha Dunnstock in ‘Heathers’ with Pelican Productions (2024), Tricia/Blanche’s understudy in Marie Clark’s ‘Bonnie & Clyde’ (2025), Charon in Opportunity Theatre’s ‘The Lightning Thief’ (2025), and a Soloist/Lead Vocalist Understudy in ‘Broadway Off-Broadway’ at the Fringe in both 2025 and 2026. She studied a Bachelor of Classical Singing at the Elder Conservatorium and is excited to pass her knowledge along to the next generation of Adelaidean performers.
